Rough Notation

Checked 2026-10-13 against official website, documentation and repository. MIT source. Install rough-notation or load its browser build, call annotate(element, options), and show the annotation; annotationGroup sequences multiple marks. It inserts a sibling SVG, so table cells and constrained layouts may need an inner wrapper. Animation can be disabled and multiline text is configurable. Official README links community React, Svelte, Vue, Angular and Web Component wrappers; these are not asserted as first-party framework support. Editorial: useful for focused editorial emphasis and explanatory UI, not a general visual component kit or a sound library. Handle cleanup and reduced-motion preferences in the application. Published preview shows real initial annotations; lower demos remain in their initial pre-click state. No bundle-size or performance claim was independently measured. No application integration or independent accessibility audit performed.
