Fomantic-UI

Checked 2026-10-18 against official website/docs/repository. MIT source; official repository is active and not archived at the check date. Install fomantic-ui for the precompiled distribution; custom themes use the documented Gulp install/build workflow and LESS. Official getting-started explicitly requires jQuery 3.4+ before semantic.min.js. CDN and CSS-only distributions are also documented. This is the community fork of Semantic UI, not the separately maintained React wrapper; React/SASS wrappers listed in the repo are third-party. Editorial: valuable for existing semantic-class/jQuery applications and substantial theme customization, but not a drop-in React/Vue-native or Tailwind system. Some class combinations require the exact documented word order. Budget for plugin lifecycle and legacy build-tool integration. No paid core plan found; optional sponsorship is separate. Website capture flags BODY as a nested scroller, but genuine full-page image includes all 7468px from hero through footer; no clipped inner documentation pane. Upstream accessibility, enterprise and responsiveness statements are not independently audited.
