Split.js

Checked 2026-10-14 against official sources. MIT source. The repository groups Split.js, Split Grid and their React wrappers as one family. Install split.js and initialize it with element references or selectors, then supply layout and gutter CSS. Split Grid targets CSS Grid; use the documented wrapper for React rather than assuming every framework has a native adapter. Options cover direction, sizes, minimum/maximum size, gutter alignment and drag behavior. Editorial: useful for editor workspaces, comparison tools and resizable dashboard panels without a styled component system. It computes pane sizes; content styling, keyboard interaction and application semantics require your own review. The visibly empty demo panes are intentional resize targets, not missing images. A Carbon ad is captured as source-page content, not an endorsement. No independent performance or accessibility claim is made. No production integration or independent accessibility audit performed.
