Checked 2026-10-19 against official website/docs/repository. Free repository is MIT; Pro source is commercial and separately licensed. Official README requires React 19, Tailwind CSS v4 and initialized shadcn components.json. Add @ballmac/button or @ballmac/dock through the shadcn CLI; files live in components/ballmac rather than overwriting components/ui. Base UI and Radix variants are documented. Optional CLI update workflow merges source changes and can require manual conflict resolution; read-only MCP metadata supports discovery/install guidance. Editorial: useful for app chrome, command menus, docks and richer AI tool-call/message interfaces, not just marketing decoration. macOS/iOS/Windows feels are web UI styling, not a claim of native operating-system widgets. Upstream keyboard, RTL, reduced-motion and quality-score claims were not independently audited.
