Color Expert — meodai — AI skill

When to use it

Use for a brand accent scale or a chart palette, comparing sampled values rather than trusting visual color guesses. A large reference knowledge base, not an automated conformance checker. Its APCA guidance must not replace applicable WCAG 2.x contrast testing; heuristic aesthetic rules and comparative statistics are not universal requirements. Original project material is CC BY 4.0; third-party reference content retains its own licenses and attribution. Not installed, executed or runtime-tested during discovery. GitHub stars are repository-wide, not a skill-specific rating.

Installation

Upstream recommends: npx skills add meodai/skill.color-expert. Alternatively clone the repository and symlink the full folder into your agent skill directory (for example ~/.claude/skills/color-expert or ~/.codex/skills/color-expert). Keep references/ and indexes together; review LICENSE and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.

Review the source and instructions before installing in your agent.

Pair this skill with a visual reference

A skill guides how your agent works; a design reference shows the direction you want. Choose an example for a specific job, such as the headline hierarchy or form layout, and keep your project's existing design rules explicit.

Start with design references you can inspect, then use our guide to briefing an AI coding agent to turn observations into requirements. If you need implementation components, compare UI libraries for your stack.

These pages are public. Browsing a skill does not install it, and TastefulKit's design-reference MCP tools do not search the AI-skill directory.
