Pencil Design — Nisus74 — AI skill

When to use it

Use with an existing Pencil workspace and configured Pencil MCP server to create or revise UI canvases and reusable components. Copy the complete skill folder, including references and examples. Unofficial community pre-release, not endorsed by Pencil; tool names and API assumptions require checking against the installed server. A design canvas does not establish runtime accessibility. Source-reviewed only; not installed or runtime-tested.

Installation

Configure the Pencil MCP server in your agent first. Download the complete skills/pencil-design directory from https://github.com/Nisus74/pencil-skill and copy it to .claude/skills/pencil-design (Claude Code), .cursor/skills/pencil-design (Cursor), or ~/.codex/skills/pencil-design (Codex), as documented upstream. Retain references, examples and the MIT notice.

Review the source and instructions before installing in your agent.

Pair this skill with a visual reference

A skill guides how your agent works; a design reference shows the direction you want. Choose an example for a specific job, such as the headline hierarchy or form layout, and keep your project's existing design rules explicit.

Start with design references you can inspect, then use our guide to briefing an AI coding agent to turn observations into requirements. If you need implementation components, compare UI libraries for your stack.

These pages are public. Browsing a skill does not install it, and TastefulKit's design-reference MCP tools do not search the AI-skill directory.
