When to use it

Supply dated screenshots or archived product versions to build a change/persistence inventory and inform redesign priorities. Persistence is evidence of continuity, not proof of intentional taste; reverts do not by themselves prove an experiment failed. Confirm reasons with research or the design team. Upstream collection is experimental and requires human review. Source-reviewed only; not installed or runtime-tested.

Installation

Download skills/analysis/version-archaeology/SKILL.md from https://github.com/Dragoon0x/taste-skills, place it at .taste-skills/version-archaeology/SKILL.md, and point your agent to .taste-skills/. This uses the verified current source; README CLI examples still use the older 0xDragoon identity. Keep the MIT notice.

Review the source and instructions before installing in your agent.

Pair this skill with a visual reference

A skill guides how your agent works; a design reference shows the direction you want. Choose an example for a specific job, such as the headline hierarchy or form layout, and keep your project's existing design rules explicit.

Start with design references you can inspect, then use our guide to briefing an AI coding agent to turn observations into requirements. If you need implementation components, compare UI libraries for your stack.

These pages are public. Browsing a skill does not install it, and TastefulKit's design-reference MCP tools do not search the AI-skill directory.
