DESIGN.md Sync — gaspanik

Bridges DESIGN.md and a Figma file: imports base tokens and text styles, or exports existing variables, styles and limited component token references with explicit consistency checks.

When to use it

Use to move base color, typography, spacing and radius information between a design document and Figma. Runs in Figma Design Agent custom skills, using its Plugin API scripting tool, not an assumed external MCP client. Full component structure, interaction states and variant matrices are out of scope; nodes are created only where sizing is determinable. Export can omit translucent colors under its six-digit HEX policy. README and skill differ on missing-primary handling; review output rather than assuming lossless interchange. Skill-scoped MIT LICENSE verified. Not runtime-tested.

Installation

Clone https://github.com/gaspanik/design-md-skill and register `skills/design-md/SKILL.md` using Figma Design Agent custom skills. Run `/design-md` in its chat; attach DESIGN.md for import, or choose export for the current file. The upstream README describes source registration; a future Community listing is not assumed available.

Review the source and instructions before installing in your agent.

Pair this skill with a visual reference

A skill guides how your agent works; a design reference shows the direction you want. Choose an example for a specific job, such as the headline hierarchy or form layout, and keep your project's existing design rules explicit.

Start with design references you can inspect, then use our guide to briefing an AI coding agent to turn observations into requirements. If you need implementation components, compare UI libraries for your stack.

These pages are public. Browsing a skill does not install it, and TastefulKit's design-reference MCP tools do not search the AI-skill directory.
